When Sarah and Simon asked me to photograph their day, I was so excited. As a Nostell Priory wedding photographer, capturing a wedding across such beautiful Yorkshire locations was a real pleasure.

A Marquee Reception on the Family Farm

After the ceremony, everyone headed to Sarah’s family farm near Pontefract where a stunning marquee reception had been set up.

The setting was peaceful, personal and full of charm. As farmers, Sarah and Simon chose a relaxed rustic country style for their wedding, which suited the surroundings perfectly. It felt warm, welcoming and truly unique to them.

A Beautiful Country Wedding Atmosphere

The morning began with bridal preparations at home alongside bridesmaids, with a calm and excited atmosphere throughout the house.

Every detail had been thoughtfully chosen, and the styling reflected their country wedding vision beautifully. Sarah and Simon looked incredible, and everything felt effortless and natural.

Rain Added to the Story

Later in the afternoon, the rain arrived — but rather than spoiling anything, it added even more romance and atmosphere to the day. Some of the most memorable weddings include a little unexpected weather, and this was no different. ☔🤍

We made the most of the dry moments earlier in the day and captured beautiful photographs before the showers began.
