Katie and Chris were married in July at the beautiful The Old Barn, a stunning rustic wedding venue near Bradford.
It was such a joyful day from start to finish, and I was so excited to photograph their wedding. They booked me because they loved my relaxed, natural style and wanted to enjoy their day without endless formal group photos. ✨
Getting Ready
Katie got ready at Hillcroft Barn with her bridesmaids and parents.
By the time I arrived, hair and makeup were already finished, so the whole morning felt calm, happy and wonderfully relaxed.
Chris got ready at his parents’ home in Bradford, just a short distance from the venue.
Katie arrived to the ceremony in the iconic Scooby Doo Mystery Machine — definitely one of the most fun wedding arrivals I’ve seen. 🚐✨
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place inside the barn, full of rustic charm and warm character.
Once the rings were exchanged, you could instantly see the nerves disappear and excitement take over as they were pronounced husband and wife.
Documentary Wedding Photography
The reception was held in the same beautiful barn space. Katie had styled much of the décor herself, including flowers and details, and the room looked incredible.
After a few relaxed family group photos, we headed outside for couple portraits around the barn, gardens and nearby fields.
My approach is never about stiff posing. I simply guide couples gently, then let them chat, walk and enjoy a little time together while I capture the genuine smiles and laughter naturally.
My Favourite Part of the Day
One of my favourite parts of any wedding is quietly moving between groups of guests, capturing real moments as everyone laughs, chats and enjoys themselves.
That’s where so many of the best memories live. 🤍
