The Wedding of Pippa & Sean | Ampleforth Abbey Wedding photography-North Yorkshire
My love for wedding photography is engraved in the fact that I unconditionally love weddings and documenting that special day for people and creating something out of the box that the couples can cherish forever. I love to be behind the lens every day and helping my clients add personal style to their big day album by capturing events from a unique perspective. My style is candid, spontaneous and natural, and this is what exactly Pippa & Sean wanted for their wedding.
Recently I had the pleasure of covering the wedding event of Pippa and Sean. These two were a fun-loving couple who knew exactly what they wanted for their special day, i.e. a ceremony at an architectural masterpiece with rich history and a relaxed drinks reception outdoors. For their wedding, Pippa and Sean chose the grand location of Ampleforth Abbey, North Yorkshire, a historical building that dates back to the 18th century. Founded in 1802, Ampleforth Abbey is the monastery of Benedictine Monks based near Ampleforth, North Yorkshire, England. It has a long-standing reputation for excellence in education and spiritual life.

I had an extremely fun day photographing Pippa and Sean’s wedding, which was spectacular! Their event was an elegant celebration filled with joy and love. Well done to both of them!! Congratulations! I took tons of amazing photos at the ceremony because I always enjoy shooting at Ampleforth Abbey. It’s a gorgeous place, and the light is often stunning. I feel connected to this location, it is so picturesque, and the gardens are magical.
As a candid photographer, my strategy is to capture the couple’s wedding day without getting in the way. I try my level best to ensure that the bride and groom feel comfortable with me. You can trust me to make you look cool, help you grab the best Instagram snaps, and to take pictures that tell your story. On the wedding day of Pippa & Sean, I was with the bride right from the beginning. I encouraged them to enjoy these moments that will never come again and not worry about the photos as I will keep doing my work silently. Fortunately, I captured many unique expressions, poses, and candid moments when the bride got her makeup done and ready. When I handed over the photos, she was so happy and said it made her relive those moments, and I couldn’t be happier.
After the ceremony at the Ampleforth Abbey, Friends, family, and colleagues gathered at an elegant marquee on the grounds of Highfield Stable for a drinks reception in honor of the happy couple. The marquee was spectacularly decorated for the occasion giving me a lot of freedom to take more unique photos. I captured many amazing moments at the reception when the couple had a walk in the stable, drank champagne, and had fun with their friends. Love and friendship were all in the air and could be felt easily. Being there made me feel like I was living in a fairytale.
I’m so thankful to have been invited to cover this special day for these sweet people. Pippa and Sean were really happy with the results of my photoshoot. I’ve picked some of my favourite photos to display here. Call me any time if you’d like to see a full gallery or a consultation session for an Ampleforth Abbey wedding photography-North Yorkshire. As a wedding photographer who is also a Yorkshire resident, my photos are perfect for capturing Yorkshire weddings in all their beauty!
Kind Words:
I was recommended by my hairdresser to take a look at Ingrid’s page when I got engaged. As soon as I did, I knew her style of photographing was what we wanted for our wedding day. Better still, when I contacted Ingrid she was so easy to talk to and gave me such a good feel. She’s so enthusiastic about what she does. We had to cancel due to covid and initially Ingrid couldn’t do our new date. She was willing to find us someone very similar and went out of her way to accommodate however after all, she got a cancellation on our second date and I’m so glad she did.
